Open Positions

Building genuine connections

There’s a special energy that comes from stepping out of the daily grind and connecting as people—not just colleagues. At Abode, connection isn’t simply encouraged; it’s something we actively cultivate. Through shared celebrations, competitive music and fantasy leagues, cherished company traditions, and hands-on community service, we create opportunities that bring us together and remind us why our culture truly matters.

Family and community gatherings

Each year, we host the Kimball Farms Family Gathering, bringing together family and friends for a day filled with food, games, and camaraderie. This event is especially meaningful as it allows us to witness the growth of our team and their families. For our predominantly virtual team, it’s one of the occasions to meet face-to-face and deepen personal connections.

The role of the Culture Club

Our Culture Club is a lively mix of colleagues who volunteer their time to enrich our work environment. Meeting every two weeks, the group plans company outings, organizes casual after-work meetups, and arranges in-office celebrations. Their efforts help keep the spirit of our culture vibrant and engaging throughout the year.

Giving back through service

Living out our core values also means giving back to the community. During our annual Day of Service, we roll up our sleeves and get involved. In 2025, for example, we partnered with The Food Project in Lincoln, where we reshaped garden beds, cleared weeds, hauled mulch, and harvested fresh vegetables for inner-city communities.

Staying connected remotely

As a mostly remote team, we use Teams channels to stay connected beyond work tasks. We share recommendations for songs or movies in our “Media Worth Considering” channel and use the “Not Work Related” channel to talk about sports events, seek suggestions for day hikes or local restaurants, and share other personal interests. These channels help maintain a sense of camaraderie even when we are physically apart.

The heart of our culture

At the core of all our traditions, gatherings, and daily interactions lies a simple truth: our culture is not an afterthought—it is the foundation of who we are. It influences how we support one another, collaborate, and remain connected, regardless of distance. At Abode, we nurture and protect our culture with intention, knowing it transforms a remote team into a true community. This commitment keeps us grounded, adaptable, energized, and continually growing together.

@neseaorg’s BuildingEnergy Boston brought together practitioners focused on practical solutions, open exchange, and steady progress across the clean energy community. The “Don’t Stop Us Now!” theme reflected the emphasis on learning from one another—through sessions, conversations, and shared experience.

We were glad to take part, including the session on connecting the dots for small residential decarbonization. Thanks as well to everyone who stopped by our booth to connect.

We appreciate the opportunity to be part of this year’s event and look forward to continuing the conversation.

We're here at @neseaorg 's BuildingEnergy Boston to join more than 1,000 practitioners working at the intersection of high-performance buildings, energy efficiency, and renewable energy.

We’re proud to support and participate in a conference built by practitioners, for practitioners—a space to exchange real lessons, practical tools, and ideas that help move the clean energy transition forward.

👋 We're here at the @aespinfo conference in San Diego, and this year's theme really hits home with us: Simplifying energy. Amplifying impact.

As energy gets more complex, the risk of leaving people behind grows. Our work at Abode is focused on removing barriers so clean energy is easier to access and implement.

We connect utilities, contractors, advocates, and communities to turn complexity into action — and action into impact.

If you’re at #AESP2026, look for Travis Estes, Dave Boettcher, and Christopher Haringa. They'd love to connect.

Last week, we gathered at The Painted Burro in Waltham to celebrate our team. We reflected on a year of advancing decarbonization, supporting communities, and turning climate goals into real-world action, all while enjoying some revelry with our growing team.

Grateful for the Abode crew and energized for the impact and continued camaraderie.

Proud to sponsor @newomeninee (NEWIEE)’s sold-out Annual Members Meeting and Fall Fête. It was a vibrant celebration of community, leadership, and the clean energy future we’re building together.

It’s always inspiring to be surrounded by such passionate professionals, and even more special when our very own Kristin Dupre serves as Board Member and Treasurer!

Cheers to this incredible network of women driving impact across energy and environment.

The Abode team joined regional energy leaders in Princeton, NJ, for the Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships' sold-out Heating Electrification Workshop (HEW2025) — where Dave Boettcher had the opportunity to facilitate a plenary panel called From the Trenches: Contractor Insights.

Contractors provided insights into how state and utility programs can better meet the needs of both customers and contractors. Their feedback touched on key areas such as homeowner adoption barriers, program design, installer networks, and communication strategies.

For those of us shaping these programs, hearing directly from contractors about their needs is incredibly valuable.

Abode is proud to support the next generation of clean energy leaders! Team members Haley Boccuzzi and Portia Lee recently attended the Milford Clean Energy STEM Fair at Milford High School — an event designed to engage students in exploring careers in energy and environmental sustainability.

Empowering students to see their future in clean energy is how we build a smarter, more sustainable tomorrow.
