Abode Energy Management (Abode) provides no-cost consultations to TMLP customers regarding weatherization. STEP 4: PARTICIPATING CONTRACTOR SCOPING VISIT & PRE-APPROVAL
Customers must work with a participating weatherization contractor to determine exactly what weatherization improvements should be made to the home. Participating weatherization contractors follow standardized recommendations and pricing aligned with statewide programs, ensuring customers only need to receive one comprehensive work scope. Contractors are required to follow pre- and post-installation quality assurance, which is reviewed by Abode.

Installers on the list have been vetted and certified by Abode Energy Management to confirm they hold the required licenses, have completed relevant training and certifications, and are fully qualified to serve TMLP customers participating in the rebate process.

Once your contractor has visited your home and conducted their scoping visit, they will submit a weatherization pre-approval. Abode will approve the proposed measures and communicate this approval to your contractor.

STEP 6: INSTALL & QUALITY ASSURANCE
Weatherization must be installed in conjunction with a heat pump system. Weatherization
upgrades can be installed within 6 months before or after the heat pump install.

During and after installation, the HPC completes a post-installation quality assurance (QA)
form for the weatherization installation. This is a digital form submitted by the HPC directly
to Abode, including photos taken during and after weatherization install. Abode will review
the install remotely. If needed, Abode will schedule an in-home weatherization inspection.
